I'm thinking about getting some vinyl made up for my Nova

I was wondering if anyone could post up some pics of the Nova SR/SRi's with the vinyl at the bottom of the doors

So i can see roughly what colour to have mines made up in

As close as possible to the original would do lovely

Cheers, Vaughan!!

If your going to paint the vynal on, use rover hurricane grey.
When i had my rear arches painted on my nova sri i used hurricane grey for the rear quarter vynal match.

JSeymour

thanks mate, the grey sr looks slightly different now as the bumpers, spoiler, grille etc.. have been painted a dark metalic colour. the sr vynl will be painted the same colour as the bumpers soonish so it matches.

Your better of painting they grey area on, as when using vynal it sweats against the paint causing arches and door to rust!!!!!

pics as requested!!

No mate with this stuff:
http://www.xen0phobiak.f2s.com/novaload/hammerite.jpg :).

The other side isnt as good as I didnt take my time with it like I did with the drivers side, so I'm going to sand it back a bit and do it again on the passenger side.

Heres my old sr:

My current nova bumpers are sprayed rover tempest grey:

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d9/novamyth/Sr%20Pics/A-reg/A-reg1-3.jpg?t=1176854009

But tbh any dark grey works well, although I believe mk1 novas used dark grey for there vinyls but mk2s look more black (crap) than the mk1's

Steel wheels are 13" (& 14" on the SRi, the ones with the aluminium lip), Alloys are 14"; 13" steels on the 1.4SR; Full spoilers are fitted to Mk1s, rooftip is for Mk2; Yes.

The grey vinyl varies upon which colour car you have.

Red is often, usually light grey & white have darker bumpers & obviously the vinyl matches. Mk2's may not.

Applying the vinyl is a TOTAL bitch.
been there done that and failed.
very very very hard to get even the pillar vinyl on with no bubbles or marks- to do the side you must be barking mad

the grey is blue grey on mk2 Novas and grey on mk1 novas, all the same only variation is on the year
