I've been offered a set of either twin 45's or twin 50's. What ones will be better??

Also where do i get the other parts from? Eg the air filter and inlet manifold. And does anyone know how much these will set me back????

Thanx in advance,
The Kevster

You can use 45's and choke them down.
I've seen a rally 1.6 Nova on 45's ( don't know the chokes). It went well but seemed to bog at low revs. I've got ref. figures which suggest that if you are aiming for around 150hp and can rev to 9k you can use chokes upto 35mm. Me and MC use 30mm in 40's but rekon 32mms would be good too. If you can get 32 -35mm in 45's??? u should be OK
Never seen 50's on a 1.6 - may have too lower air speeds causing lowspeed poor running etc???? Most peeps use 45's on 2.0l so I would guess that 50's are for 2.5 or even 3.0l???
