Right then been playing with the Corsa on the rolling road. Think I’ve finally ironed out all of the teething problems (been so many), so decided to get it on the rolling road and set it up better. And for those that don’t know after the other turbo gave up now I’m running a GT30 turbo, which is massive to say the least.
It all seems to be running spot on, only problem we had was trying to get traction on the rollers. First time round we it was only getting about 200ish bhp at the wheels and wouldn’t go over that no matter what. After adding some tar to the rollers themselves it got a bit better traction but then stayed around the 250ish bhp mark at the wheels. As soon as the boost came on it the revs went right round to the limiter while the speed of the rollers stayed the same. I have got some semi slicks that I can try but it ran out of petrol so called it a day there. Also we have had 3 standard 2lt novas on an they made 102, 110, 120bhp at the wheels just as a comparison.
Also its still running the standard top hat and 2 inch boost pipes on the intake side of the intercooler while we make up a different one to flow more. So all in im quite happy, I reckon without the wheels spinning it should make 350bhp off gas very nicely, certainly feels like it on the road. The transmission loss is set at 25% (you choose the amount of loss you want and thus why many people will comment of its readings lol) and made about 308bhp at the fly ish.Next step is to make that top hat up an boost pipes an set the nitrous up lol.
