Right then been playing with the Corsa on the rolling road. Think I’ve finally ironed out all of the teething problems (been so many), so decided to get it on the rolling road and set it up better. And for those that don’t know after the other turbo gave up now I’m running a GT30 turbo, which is massive to say the least.

It all seems to be running spot on, only problem we had was trying to get traction on the rollers. First time round we it was only getting about 200ish bhp at the wheels and wouldn’t go over that no matter what. After adding some tar to the rollers themselves it got a bit better traction but then stayed around the 250ish bhp mark at the wheels. As soon as the boost came on it the revs went right round to the limiter while the speed of the rollers stayed the same. I have got some semi slicks that I can try but it ran out of petrol so called it a day there. Also we have had 3 standard 2lt novas on an they made 102, 110, 120bhp at the wheels just as a comparison.

Also its still running the standard top hat and 2 inch boost pipes on the intake side of the intercooler while we make up a different one to flow more. So all in im quite happy, I reckon without the wheels spinning it should make 350bhp off gas very nicely, certainly feels like it on the road. The transmission loss is set at 25% (you choose the amount of loss you want and thus why many people will comment of its readings lol) and made about 308bhp at the fly ish.Next step is to make that top hat up an boost pipes an set the nitrous up lol.

Surely there's no need for the ratchet straps when you have He-Man in the beater holding the car back lol

He-man was doing a poor job of holding it back lmfao

i take it your wide band turned up then phil?

Philsutton

Yep the wide band turned up alot sooner than i was expecting. I would expect the 2lts to make a 120ish at the wheels to be honest but everything we have had one appears to be reading low. A 1.8 16v mk1 golf on twin 40s was making 100bhp at the wheels as well.

There is less lag than the T34 which sounds strange, only thing is once its started to spool there is no nice progression on the boost it just comes in one big hit and that is why we are having trouble getting a good reading on the rollers. Cant wait to try an set up the nitrous, its going to be a nightmare.

Cant wait for pod now though lol.

Sounds totally barmy!

How is it on the road?

Lots of wheelspin when it comes on boost?

It does kind of wheel spin a tad on boost lol. I shall hopefully be getting it back on the rollers again with super soft tyres and attempting to have a go at the nitrous wahoo and sort the fueling out as for some reason it was over fueling last night and flaming rather a lot.

Right then, had it back on the rollers again today. Didnt alter anything bar the tyres (put my loverly sticky 888s on) and did some runs. We are now up to 302bhp at the wheels, did a few runs an they all came out the same. I dont think it was getting much wheelspin this time round, although it did leave a fair amount of rubber on the rollers lol.

And just to put that into pub talk thats about 380ish at the fly(thats using a loss of 25% ), all without nitrous still. Hopefully i'll brave this next time lol.
