I fitted SRi clocks to my 1.2 carb which didn't have a rev counter before, should the rev counter work on the SRi clocks?

no it wont because i did it not too long ago but my clocks were out of an SR i had to put in a new wire from the clocks plug to the spare spade terminal on the ignition coil are the clocks and your 1.2 a mk2? or both mk1's?
