G-max uprated shockers and lowered springs kit.
New suspension bushes (powerflex or similar if you've got the money - std 1's if not)
Can't be done for peanuts tho'

Hmmm,
I can see im the first to dish out my k(none)owledge. 1st question, whats your absolute maximum you want to spend. Springs for 47 quid sound good, but you may end up with wank handling on standard shocks, especially if they've seen better days. Then again, its quite fun like that (my car is the same but on -60).
Personally i'd steer clear of strut braces, i've heard to many horror stories of chassie legs coming adrift etc. Suspension in road cars are set so it lasts for years at a time, with flexing of various parts of the car already compensated for. If you throw a strut brace into the mix, it will stiffen up the top of the engine bay causing the flexing to occur elsewhere in the car where the manufacturer may not have intended, then one day of hard driving and whoops - crack - f**ked car.
But then dont let that put you off.

Go for urated gas shocks I went for the cheap but cherful Monro ones only ?47 for the front(pair)&less for the rear's.
Kit's often work out cheaper so I'd go for that!
Very easy to do if got air tools. If not get a scaffold pole for those stuck bolts!
And remember to gress them up good for future work!

Try looking out for second-hand parts. I picked up Boge shocks and Jamex lowering springs (-40mm) for only ?70 for my 1.4SR.
