Woop,
2 owners, 43k on the clock with history, had discs and pads, head gasket, water pump and belts,
All for a bargain price IMO,
Just a few annoying little things to sort to make it mint

I aint sure on the wheels and they catch the rear arches so wont be staying long,
My plans, get the arches done properley and make it a mint totally standard car.
Looks very nice, plans sound good too

Looks very tidy, good plans too!
Looks good that. What colour is it? Don't ever recall seeing a Mk1 SR in such a deep red.

Yes; have a look on ebay. IIRC they may also be listed for Astra and Cavaliers...

i work at vauxhall and it was traded in about 9 months ago and a lad from the workshop bought it, he had now got a new car so i had it off him,
i havent seen any in this colour either, at first i thought it was a bit girly but now i really like it,
Just browsing around for the parts i need, debating on what to do with the exhaust cause it needs a center and backbox so i dunno wether to replace with standard parts or try and get an ashley S/S system on, i dont wanna make it less desirable though when its time to sell

That looks a nice little find, for the wheels either sr/gte 3 spokes or steelies with the sr wheel trims ( anthricite with red griffin):thumb:

got the standard wheels and trims coming,
cant decide wether to leave it totally stock or do some nice little mods,
by that i mean clear indicator lenses, a nice quiet stainless system and lower it a few mm
cant decide
ehh that looks ace matey :D

i just have to say one thing about it,
i have been driving for the last year a 2000 golf gt-tdi with 150 bhp and this little bargain nova is 1000000 times more fun to drive, probably not as quick in a straight line but i can carry the speed round bends where the golf used to roll like a national express bus
love it !

the golf was such a differant car though, lovely on the motorways and i could do 100 all day long and be totally comfy, warm and in peace,
but who wants to do that when you can tear up country lanes
Thats very nice mate a bargain find, id lower it about 35mm so as not to lose the looks in general and to get better handling (depending on spring/damper choice) and id definately go for clear side repeaters and clear front lenses.
And if you work at vaux im sure you will be able to locate a new GTE reap bumper as they look miles better over the standard ones imo, and then maybe a set of cavvy cesaro`s and some decent rubber and she will still be mint and wont be less desireable in the slightest, whats ya think?

I think i am gonna put it on some gte 3 spokes tbh mate,
I think it needs lowering, the front seems to sit to high, more so than the rear
