My 1.2 is making me angry cause i've developed a knocking noise.It has been droped -60mm on Auto XS springs&uprated gas dampers(this was done 2 years ago)now in last 4months has developed a knocking noise on front paessenger side? But have changed the shocks again&it's still there!(both)Changed the track rod ends&it's side there!changed the ball joints&it still there!CV joints don't tick or anything on full lock and had looked at&told thats not it!Does anyone know what it could be??

tie bar bushes, lower arm bushes, top mounts

Top mounts sounds very likely to me.

Jack the front wheels up off the ground and give the whole hub assembly a good wobble.

You'll easily be able to play "spot the wa nkered bearing".

I had similar and found that the bolts holding the hub assembly to the shocker had loosened a bit.

did u use new ones cp cause u are supposed to use new ones everytime u take them out!!

Nope :D Never had probs b4 -maybe didn't torque them up properly - get a bit forgetful in me old age!:O OK ever since tho'......

I always use new bolts, when changing them borrow a mate and his ramp@work to do the work!
Will have a good look@the top mounts!

It seem to happen only when cars weight is on it!these top mounts, you guys are on about are they the upper strut mounts?

Are they cheap to replace? wot am I looking to be wrong with them?
