throttle bodied xe???

am thinking about buying a xe nova on throttle bodies, it was dyno'd at 189bhp with only about 158lb/ft torque....

it just seems to be down on power imo, just ondering if this could be a simple problem to solve or an expensive one?

Down on power?? How did you work that one out. If it has standard cams/pistons 189 is almost spot on, if not a little high.

agreed, if the engine is largely std bar the TB's then its fine at that power....

Agreed, that sounds ok to me. Mine runs 150ATW with no proper maping, just the map that it got sent with. What TB's does it have on? tapered or parallel

is 157lb/ft of torque about right then?

all i know is it has omex managment, and apparently altho it got 189bhp there is summit holding it back

i raced it a while back before it had been mapped in my standard xe corsa and ****ed all over it like,its been setup prooperly since then and dynod at 189bhp with 157lb torque but the mush sed theres summit holding it back still

he probably thinks he should get 200bhp... and hasnt had it fully setup right etc so thinks its well down on power etc lol.

get the EXACT spec from him, then we can go from there

asked him and he aint got a clue. he was told it was cammed too but he dont think it is.

thing i thought was he has 17's on it...that surely cant be helping matters lol
