wats the touque settin for the head bolts on a 1.3sr. i was lookin in the haynes and wats that shit bout stage 1 tighten through another 60 deg theres 3 stages. im baffled though u just settin the wrench tighen them then get the car to op temp then re-tighten wats all that tighten then stage1 tighen through another 60deg and so on:-/

you have to follow the manual or you will warp the head. You have to follow the diagram of which bolts to do up in what order. starting with bolt 1 through to 10.

set the torque wrench to the appropriate setting and do a 30deg turn (I think, check in manual) on each bolt IN THE ORDER SHOWN ! Then change the torque setting and do a 60deg turn on each bolt, then another 60 deg turn. then run the engine to temp and do a final 30 deg turn. Don't quote me on the deg of turns in what order, im telling you from memory, follow the manual to the T or you will fuck the head up and you will be back to square 1 !

:D:D 2.0l 8v. It actually works !!!! :D:D

do all bolts hand tight with sockert and extension bar

set wrench to correct torque eg 20nm

tighten all to this torque then get rid of torque wrench u don't need it anymore

then do the angle tightnings starting back at the first bolt and do eg 60deg do all of them throught the stages like S1- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 S2- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 S3- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10

run the engine till hot
then add the last bit 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10

i guess youve snapped a bolt through trying 2 save a penny i advise next time use a pro like ste and that wouldnt have happened ! ha :)

Always use new head bolts when replacing the head. Learnt my lesson the hard way!

i dunno he must want a 2.0 16v engine fitting at rick rates
