Damn im good! Just didnt look right when i opened bonnet, had a Dustbin filter, thought they had the Airflow meter and boxed filter??????
Nah, no airflow meter.
And all nova spi's had pancake filters.
Only corsa/astra spi's had like a air box and rubber inlet hose.

Oooooo my bad then, how easy they to mod? Bigger TB's etc? What BHP, torque etc standard? TANKS!
59bhp std. Not bad torque tho tbh, about 75 lb/ft@3000rpm iirc, down to inlet and head, good engines for town driving.
Can be modded.
Mine hit 85bhp, still with a 1.4i injector ;)

And then a modded 1.4spi.(RR'd at 85bhp)
Currently T40d 1400
And will be a 1.6 16v'd soon, Lol.

Yeah, just seems a tad low for a 1.4 SPI considering mine book is 72
72bhp is 1.4sr engine.
Spi is down on power because it has a restrictive 4-1 cast manifold, ****e cam, and a cat.

well what do you have? you have to swap to a carb. or in keeping with apperances go mpi with a whole new head, injectors+ecu, fuel tank. not as hard or expensive as it sounds. put a smile on yer face at bout 80-90 bhp without any dear mods. good starting point for a quick giant killer
