Hi,
Just a quick one, does anybody know the torque for the arp steel bolts on the steel rods for the 1600 8v?
Thanks

if all else is the same stick to the standard settings . youll find these in your haynes i think
according to the ARP instructions i was reading earlier:
Tighten to 24Nm then undo, tighten again to 24Nm and undo and thirdly and finally tighten to 24Nm
which seems a bit low to me, especially as my torque wench doesn't go that low.

cant comment on 1600 ones but on 2lts its 38ft-lb 3 times. So 24nm seems very low.
why do you tighten them then undo them 3 times
to stretch the bolts apperently, but i thought ARP didn't stretch
they do, that process is to set them..
also depends on the bolts that you got, there are 2 differenc specs iirc.
there are 2 differenc specs iirc.
That would explain it, still the settings for mine seem far to low.
