changine heads..

well my 1300 sr engine needs a new cam and followers and my headgasket fitted and valve stem oil seals. Will tappets come in a camshaft kit?

Instead of buying a camshaft kit (cheapest one i can get is ?75) i thought about changing the head to a 1200 carb'd head?

I have a 1.2 and a 1.3 engine just now. I am willing to use parts out of both as i dont really want to pay ?75 for a camshaft kit?

Can anyone help me get round this problem?

Oh and i would like to keep the sr engine or maybe even make it a little bit faster.:D

you probably wont get new hydro followers (tappets as you call them) in the kit. but a simple refurb of them will do (its in the haynes maual)

I assume youve got a new cam to go with the 1.2 head? otherwise its a kind of silly question lol.

cam kits are on egay for about ?50 usually from FAI
