I don't see why not, I would assume it would be considered as one trailer, just articulated. Having said that, I don't ever recall seing a double-articulated vehicle on UK roads...

You'd need to make sure the complete caboodle adheres to weight/mass/braking/size (7 metre length max) restrictions as well.

Just done a bit of googling and there's some interesting pub facts out there about towing/trailers - its illegal for a >1998 Ford Ka to have a towhook fitted, and the only vehicle legal to tow with an A-frame (aside from recovery purposes) is the Aixam...

you need a certain liscence(sp) im pretty sure you need to have a C1 (articulated lorry)

the only vehicle which can tow a trailor with a trailor is a tractor.

When you see fairground units on the road these are classed as tractors for this reason.

Doh! I need to read posts properly too.

It doesnt matter what in on a trailor so long as it is safe and within trailor specs and license catagories.

people have been legally towing 2 farm trailers behind tractors for years.
the showmen have unique rules & regs, but they can run at 80ft
I once helped on a project to build a special vehicle for fixing motorway barrier that towed 2 separate trailers. It had a super duper sliding coupling so the trailers locked together for reversing.

throw fridge in back of the van, and its true with tractor/tractor unit etc you can tow any amount of trailers so long as it doesnt exceed 120ft
