probs a question for ste, mc, cp etc but I need to know the compression ratio for a 1.6 8v turbo motor, and wot size gasket i would need to achieve this??????????? (info not for me tho cos who needs a turbo :P )

Don't know actual figs. As 4 the gasket bit. As I understand it there is a spacer in between 2 gaskets to enlarge the combustion chamber and thereby lower the C/R. This an area of weakness cos if you try to wind the boost up the gaskets tend to blow. I don't know if special gaskets are used or not:)

A-N-T where are you gettign the conversion done. i was thinking of doing it when i fit a gte/gsi engine to my car. ive heard of a guy in blackpool "turbo doctor" or summit.Any one had any experience or know anything about this guy - are his conversios good quality??

best bet would be 2x grp a gaskets and copper spacer
