Well so it is, last night went to see my cousin and left my car for 2 hours came back out and it had disappeared !! :cry:

Smashed the window and now shes gone, been looking around but no sign of her !

No word from the police either so dont know what to do now !

i along with a few other people on here know what it like having your nova stolen , as mine was stolen last may , its one of the worst feeling ever specially when the car is a good condition one , if it was a ****ter i wouldnt off been ****d about getting mine back

it took the police 4 days to find mine , had been dumped with a bent door , snapped ignition and minus sub & amp plus some tools which i leave in te car

hope you get your back with not to much damage aswell mate

Well i got a letter through the post yesterday from the recovery company saying they have my lady, recovered on the same day i reported it which was just into the early hours of sunday morning, it had been found nearly a hour away, 30 miles ish at some village that i didnt know existed ! lol

So i had been running around, worrying looking for it and it was locked up all the time, cheers ! :thumb:

At this point i was really excited until i found out that they had found she was on her roof and apparantly has all round damage ! :cry:

And then just to top that good news off they tell me that she has incurred a ?475 fine for various reasons ! :thumb:


Going to look at her just now will get some pics and such and update on the state of her later !

?475 worth of fines? WTF! If most of that is a "collection and storage charge", threaten them with legal action under theft as technically they didn't have your consent to take and hold the vehicle lol

Unfortunately these fines will be down to you. They assume your insurance will cover it & wont waiver it for whatever reason.

The authorities etc do not take anything like the loss or upset on your part into consideration. Sadly.

Hope its atleast salvageable somehow on your part either still usable or for spares. If not deny its yours. Say its got your plate on but its not the same car. May get out of paying & disposing etc.

the rest might be sprage at ?12 per day, i say get it out and strip itm they probs wont let you take things like stereo or bumpers or wheels etc off as theyre part of the car

Thats devastating mate, i got all excited for you when i was reading the first bit of your post, then my heart sank when you said she was found on her roof!!
Hope she is recoverable even for parts though if not repairable, but dont let them fob you off saying because it might be a cat A or B write off then you cant take her home, i kept my cat B write off SR for parts, i jus had to get a reciept (certificate of distruction as they called it) to prove id not tried to put her back on the road, but i really hope yours will be repairable though mate!!

Well this counts as all round damage !

Needs new wing, bumper, grill, front panel and a starter motor. The exhaust isnt sitting right out the back and some of the floor has been bashed up, assuming where they drove it up a verge or something. Thats all so far havent really had a chance to do anything to her yet.

They got in by smashing the little triangle window on the drivers door, i drove her home and she seems ok so fingers crossed .

This was the only damage to the roof on both sides, probably where they picked her up from the ditch or wherever she was layed, so a bit pissed off about that !

i remember my nova gte being stolen a few days after i bought it police rang me and it was found the same night in a field on its roof my was knackered though they bounced it of the dry stone walls flipped it on its roof recovery charged me 450 quid to pick it up and drop it off on my drive although all four theiving gets were found in mine and were seriously injured so i managed to get some of my money back

the nova never so the road again and it was mint :(
