ENGINE, GEARBOX AND WHEELS

WILL A MK2 ASTRA 1.6SR ENGINE DROP STRAIGHT IN MY 1.4SR, BUT THE 1.6 HAS A K&N FITTED! CAN I USE 1.4 CLOSE RATIO GEARBOX WITH IT? WILL MY LATE 14IN 3 SPOKE SR WHEELS FIT WITH 16V FRONT BRAKES FITTED? :D

nope cause it will be big block like mk2 cav 1.6 u will need to use the attached box and 2.0 16v style shafts.....
not worth the effort get a nova 1.6i engine

16v Nova - Toolkit, Trouble, Points and great expence all come as standard :)

are you sure its the 16sr? if its the 16sv it will be fine, straight swop, along with an f13 gearbox as the flywheel is too big for the f10 box.
Its not such a revvy engine but has more low torque, so dont expect to much if you put it in a nova!

yes it is a c reg 1.6sr with a vari jet carb.
