Hi there,

I did a search and couldn't seem to find the answer...

Does a lightened flywheel give significant improvement over standard as I have been told differing stories!

Thanks....Chris

It has less intertia, so the engine can rev quicker.

it will rev quicker but remember the revs will drop quicker too as there is less mass spinning.

any lightening you get done wouldnt really hurt on a road car, just keep in mind you might have to adjust the way you shift/drive to suit it
