hi

Iv been thinking about this for a long time and cant seam to get my head (pun intended) round it all.

what i want to know from this quote is:-


The reason for using the 1400/1600mpi head is that the valves are bigger, and the ports flow better than a 1400carb/spi version. This in essence gives you the effect of a full porting/big valve job for the sake of about ?30 on the skim... weve seen 8-12bhp gain from simply swapping to the mpi heads, which is what say a B+ head is advertised at doing.If you dont want bigger valves then the next best head(s) are from the 1200 carb OR 1300 carb engines, just be wary of the CR increase as some can push it too far up

thats from stuarts 1.4 tuning guild.

so with the 1.4 bottom end and 1.2 head do i use the inlet form the 1.2 or 1.4?

and if the 1.2 inlet is used dose the larger carb off the 1.4 fit this inlet.thanksjordan

Use the 1.3 carb head, and 1.3 inlet.

i dont have the 1.3 head and inlet, iv got a 1.4sr engine and a 1.2 to play with.

someone much of tryed getting the 1.2 head on a 1.4 block

1.2 head will likely push CR up too high.
