Well 1st of all the 6 spokes dont come in less than 18 (maybe 17) so that pretty much decides it.

i did hear a rhumor (sp) that they were gonna produce the 6 spoke in smaller sizes but havent seen anything to confirm.

If u can get the 6 spokes then do as every1 and their mum has 5 spokes.

A VX220 is made of fibreglass though so there's room for weight gain, but not really much to lose lol

I wouldnt trust a random alloy wheel place, they will tell you anything to get you interested.

DO an enquiry at comp.co.uk and get the answer from the horses mouth. Probly get a better price too.

Yeah. I always keep a sample of most wheels, in all sizes with a tyre just incase I need to weigh it.

A 15 x 7 5 spoke MO weighs in at 9.2kg (i've got a set sitting in my room) with no tyre, pretty heavey like but there rock hard !!
If your wanting a light / strong wheel then go for a Team Dynamic Pro Race 1 / 1.2 they only weigh about 6.5kg !?!

add about 7-8Kg for a tyre then.... although some of the cheaper tyres weigh more etc.

But when I had compo's on my purple nova I hit a kerb side-on (ft n/s wheel) at about 20-25mph, just scratched the rim (punctured the tyre) but it would have killed most wheels.....

they're uber-strong. Maybe that's why they're heavier?

Thats not too bad, a 15" cav sri rim weighs in at 8.4kg.

Magnesium wheels are the key. Nice set of speedlines corses. If i could find a set of 2011, 2012, 2010, 2118, 2020 or 2108's cheap for my nova id be happy man.
