When i first start my car in the morning it runs really badly, doesnt want to rev, just coughs and splutters, after 30 seconds of driving its fine? whats wrong with it? It seems to happen more when its cold

if its carbed the auto choke linkage may b naff as this happened 2 mine! slag!

smae thing happened on my mums car, the automatic choke was fucked.

so how do i cure that problem then? Do you think it just could be a sticky choke?

It could be sticking, have a look in the haynes manual to see how to fix it. I replaced the choke on my mums car with a manual one because VW auto chokes are shit.
