Nice spot! Started life as a GTE. So that's where its been hiding all these years!

I could have sworn that lower spoiler had been removed at somepoint, clearly not! My memory must be playing tricks with me, doesn't look how I remember it. Weird huh.

Ben.

Damn. I just found the ad on ebay & was gonna start a thread (glad I searched).

Car is legendary in old skool/MAX Nova circles.

It was built by Chris Bow IIRC & was a GTE until it was converted by Courtenay to LET spec & obviously the styling was updated which at the time (96ish) GSi bumpers & Speedlines was like GUCCI for a Nova.
The rear spoiler is a Zender, which although a bit unsightly is well made stuff & there was a matching rear diffuser available & side skirts.

Colour aside it still looks awesome & according to the listing has only covered 65,000 miles.

Wish I had some substantial funds to offer tbh. (wouldnt stay pink long tho)

Seriously! Back in the day you would have been minted to own a car like this. Car was 6 or 7 yrs old & the engine about 4 years old at the time.

oh, courtenay touched it..... hmm not sure if id rather have majica work on my car tbh lol

im sure it was lovely back in the day but 6.5K is just silly...... although im sure i know of 2 NL users that would pay that lmao

I would swop my nova for that. Love it. One of the best nova turbos ever made.

Think thats a bit OTT Rick but yes it is gorgeous like only something from a childhood dream could be.

I wonder if the shell is as mint as I think it is? Cant have seen much use over the years.

Was this one seam welded when Courtenay did the engine conversion as they never used to? Also running an F20 at a guess.

I remember this car being featured in Max Power back in the day.

I very much doubt its been plated & stitched tbh. That was unheard of on road legal Novas back then.

Hell, they thought Astra 16v fr stoppers were adequate for almost any power engine upgrade!

I asked about the plate but aparently its been valued at ?1200 roflmfao so my ?300 offer was not getting it! hahaha

Aug 90 was the change over to mk2 Novas.

I dont think so.

Personally I think its priced too high & I wouldnt pay that, but I can see where the inspiration for that price comes from + I challenge you to source a 65k shell (I bet its almost rust free) & all the parts shown there, & build it & not want similar money for your efforts.

but the car has been done for years, does it not depreciate in value at all?10 years old and its still worth 6500,thats stupid priced remember taking this car to a vauxhall garage and they would offer you about 400 quid as the mods make no difference to value!!

my mate proved that with his redtop corsa r reg clean as fook garage offered him 900 quid haha
