c20let turning but not firing

i've run most of the wires to the new engine and its turning over but it won't fire. i rigged a wire to the fuel pump so i know its getting pertol but it won't fire.

i've also found a red\white wire on the let loom which doesn't go to anything!!

i haven't connected all the boost pipes yet because i'm not sure where they all go. the recirc valve on the turbo has a piece of pipe with a bolt in and so does the pipe on the tophat that goes to the tank vent valve.

how can i check whats going on?

Dont rig a wire to the pump.
Use the proper fuel relay, as then you know the ecu is getting power etc.

Have you got a spark ??

Make sure you have wired up the ign live - usually single black wire near dizzy !!

remember to prime before firing. sounds like you have with the fuel pump hardwire anyway
