Stupid Stereo! Need help!

Ok I put my new stereo in last night (MOSCA034) and everything seemed to be fine, the red security led was flashing so power must be connected, but when I put on the front panel and press power nothing happens?! Any advice or does it sound like a faulty front panel as its still under warranty I can send it for a replacement if needed? :cry:

if you have an orange wire is it connected because thats the illumination wire in most cases if that aint connected it wont light up or play it connects to live by the way

no orange wire however there is a grey one which when connected to power makes the lights in the car come on? Still nothing happens if this is also connected to the stereo!?

are you still on standard stereo wires or did you modify them at all eg bring in a live from sumwhere else? uhmm what lights in the car come on? dash lights? unless u wired it wrong i cant see there being any other problems... did you wire it with an ambimetre or colour coded?

Yay! Its fixed cheated and got a friend who knows a bit more bout electronics than me! Im a girl who likes to have a go myself first lol! Thanks for all help

Very wrong my friend.

Yes it is the illumination wire, its rarely gets connected and wont have any effect on the stereo if it is. It does connect to live but the switched live for the dash lights.
