Is i want to move my battery from the engine bay and i would like to know where some of you have put your instead. I was thinking of putting it near the sparewheel well but im going to be cutting it out and putting my rad there and dont think it will leave much room as im going to be using a astra gte one.

Put it behind the passenger seat in a battery box.

Why would you want to put your rad under the floorpan, at the back of the car whaere the tank will shield it from getting a decent airflow? Or are you making some kind of weird ducting system to try and feed it with cold air, without getting in the way of the lines, exhaust, rear beam etc?

its not going right under the floorpan in going to make a hole were the wheelwell would be to the size of the rad. then make it fit inside with the fan ontop of it witch will sit inside the car, not under and under neath i going to make a sort of defuser to push the air to the rad. And as for the lines they will be running through the inside of the car so no problem there.

i'm making a cheap mount that doesnt involve any permanent modifications to the chassis.

I have a cobra suzuka seat and home made mounts so its easier for me to do this.

here is a quick sketch

the rear passenger floor is the best as its the most central location and it equals out the weight from side to side as well.

what is written above is what i have done, but instead of fannying around i just used a proper fibreglass box which go for around 25 quid.

yes it is mate, i fitted it as i had one kicking around tbh. The bonuses are when on track or if anything went wrong i can just reach over and kill all power to the car. Another added thing is instead of disconnecting the battery if its parked for a long time i can just take the key out and isolate it alot easier lol.

get a smaller battery, that doesn't leak, and put it under the seat

If your running a valver, put it in the boot!

Bear in mind you shouldt really put a wet battery in the car with you due to fumes given off when charging. And yeas, im a hypocrite as mine is sat in a box in the back lol
