Ok still know very little about Novas ... Wondering what my 1.2 merit has on it for brakes? (standard) Disks front and drum rear ??

236mm diameter,13mm thickness, solid front discs.

put some 2ltr brakes on there, easy, cheap and 10x's better then the standard jobbies.

for some info on brakes i have v6 on the front and vectra 5 spoke 15" fit over nicely

that pic you posted up mate did'nt have any alloys on it, unless you mean them silver wheeltrims!

No when you get some alloys go for 2.0l 16v astra GTE brakes! Unlike me who has to sacrifice to GSI corsa brakes!

I didn't think 1.2i brakes were that bad when i had them on mine.
Even with old discs and pads, they worked ok.
They were the newer type tho(ate calipers)

Early ones were delco, ****e things with two pins through that hold the pins. They had a habit of seizing every 10mins lol

ATE are the same as 2L brakes, with the two part caliper/bracket, and a spring retainer.
