Hi all, I was wondering if anyone would know what would be involved in this? I'm on a 1.2 Carb at the moment. Obviously need the engine + loom. What about driveshafts and engine/G'box mounts?????

Assuming its a older 1.8 engine( and not the corsa C Sri engine)
1Would need a big block engine mount conversion kit.
And 22spline nova td/gte driveshafts with mk2 cav inner cv's.

Also need injection fuel tank and pump if the 1.8 engine is fuel injected.

The engine bay seams should be stitch welded too.

the exhaust would need some work as well, mating the cav down pipe/header to the nova midpipe

Hi, yes the 1.8 will be the older style, want to try and get it on a carb.. do they do this? and is it the cav or astra engine??

c18nz engine?

conversion is the same as a 2.0 conversion

not sure which engine No. it is, but will be out of a cav aprox 'j' Reg, and on a carb.
Q. Did they make the 1.8 carb with single OHC or DOHC?

No,, it was a single OHC wasn't it,
But would I need big block engine mount kit? would they not sit on the same mounts?

It will be single ohc.
Yeah you'll need a big block kit.

Not worth the hassel tbh, a nova gte/gsi engine will go straight in, and is probably more powerful.

the only engine conversion worse i can think possible would be a spi engine. Not worth the hassle involved for the piss poor power you get from it.
