it will either be the spark or the fuel, its hard to say which do you know if theres a spark going to the spark plug? if you take a lead of the spark plug and place it on the engine you should see a spark, especially now as its dark....just dont get electricuted :p

nope no spark at all and plenty of fuel!

well if theres no spark to any cylinder it is probably something to do with the coil or distributor, are all the wires plugged in properly? or as the cars the same age as me the distributor drive might have snapped, if you take the distributor off, there should be a pin in the cam or distributor to turn it, if its snapped the distributor rotor arm wont turn distributing the spark

there is a pin on the end of the dizzy that goes into the cam to turn it, the pin is infamous for btreaking so u can get a new pin and collar for the dizzy and it should cure ur problem, hope that helps

Is the camshaft turning? sounds like a classic case of snapped cambelt to me!

Ok! Ive put on new leads & distributer cap and still no spark from the coil so going to replace that tomorrow so fingers crossed she should be firing up again!

just take the distributor off and look at the black plastic round thing that goes against the cam, if its got abit snapped then you need a new one ;)

no point in replacing it if it aint broke :p

have you checked the cam belt like mikey said??

take the dizzy cap off, get someone to turn the engine over, if the rotor arm isn't moving then either the belt has gone, or the dizzy drive pin. my 2p is on the belt.
