Ive had this terrible screeching occuring at evenings when its get damper in the air and my initial thought was the fanbelts slipping and gotta be fcuked. First i just tightened the fanbelt using 30mmspanner, this solved the prob for about 2weeks then it just started again.

I got a new fanbelt, removed old one and i had never seen one in such a state (almost 3 quarters of the teeth missing!!!) After fitting the new one, all seemed well even in the evening, until later that evening the noise was 10x worse than it had ever been before. Luckily it went away once i had hit 80 on motorway but that was risky and im not doin it again.

What the fuc* is it??????
just too loose maybe or summit more severe - alternator perhaps???

Cheers in advance

lmfao @ ged !!! hahaha

No, Grant, it sounds like either your fan belt is really slipping or maybe your water pump is on the way out.
