nova SR, 1.4 carb

i just bought a 1989 vauxhall nova SR 1.4 carb,
its got a bolt on k&n filter,
hi power leads,
peco exhaust (jst back box)
also wots the correct engine number?code?

what can i do to increase power?
any cheap options?

exhaust system and 4-1 manifold if your on a budget

cams, head work etc etc the list is endless!

i think its 14NV mate and weber 32/34 or twin 40's, Early mark 1 1300 astra inlet manifold, 4 - 1 exhaust manifold and system, cam, head work and like last of nova sr's said the list is endless

cam it up, rebuild the engine for a start, its probably a bit old and worn out by now. like they said, carbs, head work and a full system. but dont forget to sort out the brakes and suspension too
