slow nova!

hmmm yes my novas going very slow, only revs to about 3000 and sounds bad, i think this is the timing but i was messing about with the butterfly/throttle body type thing on the carb, havent got anywhere cos its dark but do you think this could be a problem with matches the symptoms

plugs?leads? dizzy? rotar arm? etc..

what do you mean messing about ? and which buttefly why you fidling with cos it could be your choke stuck on

yea ive checked plugs leads etc, dizzy ive tried doing it by ear but am going to get it done at garage as the only strobe i have is for discos lol, by messing about i mean opening it up and closing it cos it was a bit too stiff, i think the choke was stuck on to be honest but as its auto its got a little buttom by the throttle bracket that i keep releasing it with
