As well as seam welding everything (which bits in particular?) and putting the strengthening kit on ...I also been told that the chasis leg or something needs modifying & welding to fit the larger alternator for the 2 litre 16v?
Can somebody please elaborate?
The alternator that I want in the engine I will be looking at is 65amps, how much is the Vectra 2L one? and will it fit in my Nova valver ?????

yeah basicaly the pully wheel catches on the chassis leg when u go round corners.
u can take sum ov the outside lip off by machineing and what i did was to fit the engine and see where the pully will catch, then i removed lost ov stuff fot acces and bashed the pannel in so it cleared.
sum people make a nicer job ov this and cut a hole in the inner wings and weld in a box section.

lol
i just let the pully wheel cut a hole in mine at first
and then i changed the belt and it was shorter and it made the alternator catch in a diffrent place
ha ha ha
