What a difference!

Did the cam belt on my 8v SRi Corsa today. Now it's allways felt very slow and nothing like how I can remember the 8v small block lumps to be, it just didn't feel responsive and it would run out of breath at about 4k http://www.vauxhall-sport-forum.com/phpBB2/images/smiles/107.gif Turned out it was tooth out on the timing, what a difference it's made, I wouldn't call it quick, but it feels alot more eager now http://www.vauxhall-sport-forum.com/phpBB2/images/smiles/038.gif Although while chaging the belt I noticed one of the ARB clamps had snapped off and another was holding on by just 1 side http://www.vauxhall-sport-forum.com/phpBB2/images/smiles/sm_ponder.gif Am I right in thinking the Corsa Combo vans have thicker ARBs?

Yes Corsa Combo vans have a 24mm front ARB (i have one in my garage hehe)

Should make a big improvement to handling id imagine.

Just put one on from the Combo, they are quite noticeably thicker lol. Just need to change the top mounts as it wonders sometimes :S

my 2.2 was much improved with a new timing chain and having the engine times up properly lol... its worrying really that the timing can "slip"
