what websites can i get insurance quotes from? My computer is dodgy and wont let me do things like that (the computer says its unsafe etc etc). Could someone please help me and find quotes for a 17 year old, first car, nova 1200, lowered 40mm, digi dash, performance exhaust and alloys.

Also it would be good if someone could get a quote on a nova j reg but with a 1987 e reg 1300 engine in it?

The car is a j reg 1991/1992 and is black. was a 1200 carb'd model. The post code for my area is dg3. it will be stored in a garage/drive and i will be the only driver.
Any more info you might need, just ask please.:thumb:

Admiral and Elephant are the only ones that spring to mind that will cater for you (HIC hve an online quote system which can handle mods but you'd need to be >19), most you'll have to ring up and barter a quotation as the car is modified.

Don't expect it to be cheap, especially not if the 1.3 goes in!

i had a look few weeks back,my nova is going to be,1.2 with performance exhaust lowerd 60mm and all, cheapest i found it was 1500 with all mod declared, but a weird fact i found,it was cheaper to go fully comp than 3rd party fire and theft

^ some companies are like that. You'll probably have a whacking great excess though, and with the low value of Novas its no different to being on TPF&T, in terms of claims at least.

i will be a named driver.
Whoops, fronting lol

This might be a bit late, but last year when i passed, first car being a nova sri, insurance was 1300 TPFT with NiG, I found them using 4youngdrivers.com

But this year, using 1yrs NCD insurance for my GSi is 1125 with Kwikfit. Quinn-Direct came close second with a quote of 1250. If this is too late, ignore it but try getting a quote from the above website, might have some luck there.:)

Mine is ?370 on my dads but am with Direct Line so get No claims. This year (touch wood) i will have 2 years NCB and a pass plus so should be cheap enough to start my own policy.

^ When you get quotes, check the company will honour that NCB as some stipulate any earnt NCB must have been earned as the main driver on a policy.
