The engine is finally in the car. 2 new problems:
- the rad will never fit in the original location;
- the box is pressing the brake pipes upwards.
Is it just me having these problems? 'Cause I find it strange nobody ever mentioning them (at least the rad) on guides, BB's, etc...

Ste:
Yes, it's a 2.0 16V Nova, and believe me, I wouldn't be saying it if I hadn't seen it... that rad will NEVER fit in there :( Suppose I'll have to try and move the rad mounts.
The brake lines are the ones that go down the passenger side inner arch, but that's the least of the problems, as it's just a case of relocating them.

Dicko:
Yes, it's a Nova :) and yes, I have a GTE engine (minus pistons) and a g'box, if you want to come and get them in Portugal... :D

sounds like is on this piss. It houldn't be anywhere near your break lines, and you should easily be able to fit the rad in there in the normal place.

that radiator in beasties car, is that the astra one? cos I am fairly sure my GSi one isn't that big. Although I could be mistaken, I haven't actually looked at it in absolutely ages!!!! lol!

Garages sticking to their promises???? not likely!!! :(

Yes, it's left hand drive. Does that make any difference??
I'm using the Mathijssen-technics (in Netherland) engine mounts, and it's sitting as I suppose it should on said mounts... Anyway, I WILL solve the problem!!! :D
