nova diesel

have just bought a nova td but will not seem to run right
it seem to be getting no diesel, it will idles lovely go to rev and it dies
filter is only half full
could it be the filter housing not pulling the diesel from the tank not very good with diesels any help would be most helpful

you might hav a blockage in the fuel line or else there is air coming up the feed line with the fuel
