Would my hatch back, beable to tow rexy's saloon shell on a dolly (rear wheels still on the ground) with out breaking any laws? :thumb:

im sure it wouldnt break any laws - check a manual if unsure on towing weight , hell i dont think any modern coppers would know what the towing weight laws were if they slapped them across the face lol

It shouldn't be a problem.

You've got your class 2 haven't you? IIRC a class 2 puts you under a different set of rules.

If its less than 600kg then yes as I think thats the max towing weight for my 1.2 hatch.

towing weights for nova's are 500kg unbraked, 750kg braked. When using a dolly though it is classed as recovering, I've seen hundreds of small hatches pulling small hatches on dollies.

have you thought about an A-frame? all wheels stay on the ground, but because its a rigid frame the towed car follows the leading car when you take the steering lock off obviously lol

nope due to me and luke all ready got a dolly!

tbh im more worried about the tow bar dropping off due to rust lol lol

Towing weights are advised to avoid breaking the chassis.

it'll be fine as were usin the dolly and that takes the weigt of the nova on the back
