They are nice its just, is it worth buying them and then realising you have to get custom glass made??

They look good, but if I'm being picky the thickness of the mirror body doesnt taper to a thinner point at the outer edge like the originals do. I admit this is the hard bit that makes creating the shorty mirrors a pain.

Thats what had me scratching my head for months anyway.

cutting the glass/mirror is hardly an issue.........

you can buy a small galss/tile/mirror cutting tool for ?2......i did recently as i was cutting a mirror for my bedroom......

its just a ver simple little roller blade type thing....but it does the job indeed

i always liked the look of the dumpy mirrors i have to say...although i thought they would b a hassle 2 get exactly right

Well i would be up for some of those, the look spot on, just wondeing how hard they would be to make yourself?

there reasonably easy to make,t1mmy made some nice 1s,all you do is take the atacment of the cut the shape right, make sure you get agle reasonaly good, attach the attachment back on,cut glass and attach to your car, they look good but for the ?60 i think it would be much easier to make yourself

I'd be interested to know too as youd need to mould the back cover and the mirror surround as well as most of the internal workings so it would join onto the quick release when it gets bashed by passing muppets?

Id have thought id'd be just as easy to mould/cast the back and then plastic weld the surround.

i am making the mould only for the covers. The covers will be removeable also. The frames are goin to be plastic welded.

Although mine fully adjust & break away as the std ones should, I'd fear if my shrorty mirrors got bashed. The door would probably get bashed in too. lol

yeah mine are fully adjustable along with removable cover :). Basically these are shorter than originals but function the same.
