Thought someone would tell me that!!! And i got told you couldn't rebuild them chokes, but hey obviously you can lol, and how easy is it to do? and how long will it last?
Well, how many miles has your engine done until the choke started playing up?
Thats about how long it should last again.
Altho im not sure how much the kits are/who sells them.
Easy option is a weber 32/34 replacement.

I get ya, 90k, and im sure my dad could find 1 with his sources, I thought about that (Weber 32/34) but it the cost, of buying and running, its hard enough atm lol
Running cost probably wont change.
Cost, can get one for ?40/?50.
I sold mine for ?40.

Running cost probably won't change!!! You sure (no offence)? And with or without the adpator plate?

Without the adaptor, but they aint that much to buy.
The carb is pretty much the same as a Pierburg, so i'd really doubt mpg would be effected. What sort of MPG do you get atm?

O goodies! where would i gte adpator from? Don't know, will have to find out and i thought they would just be performance increase, and make it drink more lol
I managed to get nearly 30MPG around town in my T40d 1.4
Including a few full throttle blasts.
I think Webcon sell the adaptors.

Cheers garyc but from that advert it comes with adaptor plate lol and i aint got dosh atm but you'll be first person i go to find 1 ;) and Ad, how easy to swap?
The adapter plates are about ?30 + vat from Webcon. Fook me, really?
The swap is straight forward.
Remove Sr carb, fit adaptor plate, bolt 32/34 onto adaptor plate.
Might need check throttle cable fits first too.
And block off the coolant pipe that goes to the sr carb autochoke.

Ooooo that easy??? what about running a manual choke cable??? (or am i being thick) and block them as in stick 2 bolts in the end lol or join them up?
Stick a bolt inthe end of the coolant pipe ye.
Ooo, aye, i forgot about the manual choke.
I think a 1.2carb manual choke cable fits.

o okies thanks for all the advice and help!!! and if the throttle cable don't fit (too long or too short) another Nova 1 fit?
You have to remove the studs from the manifold too.
I coulnt believe it when I found out the price of them plates. Theres a cable with mine too.
I dont think the length is the problem, its the end joint on the cable that might not fit.
Iiirc weber 32/34 has a barrel type end. Not sure what the end of a sr cable looks like.

Gary :- Coolies well keep it for me then :P and studs from head? why?
Ad :- Mine is barrel shaped as such, cylinder type shape on the end of cable
He means the studs out the inlet, the three that hold the original carb on.
