My nova has a xe conversion, the engine bay is stitch welded.
The tie bars from the wishbones to the crossmember have ripped the part where it mounts to the crossmember apart?
will it need to be plated to be repaired??? is it an engine out job???
Is there anyone on here that can do it or can reccomend anyone to repair it for me.
I've got cash waiting.
Thanks guys

A good bodyshop or a skilled welder with some knowledge of vehicle construction could do it.
Sounds like it needs a cross member for sure, I'd add the cross member/tie rod brkt strengthening plates too. They are part of the Grp-A chassis plate kit, but maybe Rallyman will do them seperately.

Infact why not add the whole kit whilst your at it. The end plates for the chassis legs tie in the ends & create a box section for further strength in that area.

Would they be able to do it with the engine in? or is it an engine out job?

Should be doable with eng in (cross member) as the mounts dont touch it. Rad etc will need to come off obviously.
The plating kit would need the lump out though.
If I were to undertake it (hypothetically speaking) then I'd prefer the engine out as the access is far better. Plus it makes realigning a lot easier as you don't have the weight of the block to fight.
Speak to whoever is going to do it and go with what they say.
