Brown Plug?

I got a new digidash and the black and white plugs. Got home, looked at the back and there is a plce for a third brown plug about 10mm x 40mm. Anyone know what this is for? am i missing a plug?

all the digidashs i have fitted never have the third plug, had no probs so far.
what year was the car u got the dash from as the spec can change? with the 2 plugs, u will have all the wire connections. :D

the brown socket is never used

16v Nova - Toolkit, Trouble, Points and great expence all come as standard :)

e reg shell almost gone!!

It's probably something to do with programming the dash when is was being manufactured.....maybe they plugged into the brown socket and down-loaded the software into the dash...don't know....just guessing.
I could be completely wrong :p
