the head gasket has gone on my engine. didnt know this til i took it out the car:(
should i bother getting it skimmed? or just get a new head gasket set?
also how should i flush all the gunky oil/water out the engine?

Depends if the engine has been run for a while with the headgasket gone.
Whether it had time overheat and warp the head.

thats the problem, i dont know if it has or not.
i could take it of and cheeck with a metal rule. then again i dont know how flat theve got to be?
MEGA flat,Lol.
I'd take it an engineering works and get them to check the flatness for you.
To be on the safe side.

yep, mega flat, mine was warped, i filed it as i was getting a gas flowed head anyway, it was about 0.5MM out and the gasket went on saturday...this was on an 8V too
