I have a k&n for my 1300 sr and was just wondering before 1 go out and try to fit it. do i need any sort of gasket or an adapter plate, as i only have the fiiter and nothing else

is it the 57i bolt on or replacement filter elent?? if its the 57i that bolts ontop of the carb you should have got a cork gasket to go between the filter and carb, its not essential though, you should also have some bolts around 8cm tall with a thread on both ends) that screw into the top of the carb and go to the top of the filter

i think the original air box has a cork gasket between carb and air box,use this also in winter mine would freeze up,you can buy a winter kit or just use the cold air feed pipe and put it to the manifold,
