buy or re-build ?

im wonderin whether its worth rebuilding my 1300 engine or not. i want the engine to run like a dream as its gettin a bit run down now. i would like do do a bit of performance tuning but im not sure whether its easier just to buy a quality second hand one wready tuned. does anyone know which would be more cost effective.

have u done a re-build b4? if u have not its ok just get some books out and go slow and keep ur work tidy and label all bits. it can be very costly but it depends on what u want to do!

A re-build to make it run like a dream could be costly. It is usually more cost effective if you are after extra performance to transplant summink bigger in. Buying in ready tuned stuff is either expensive or risky.
