not firing on all 4's

i was drivin yesterday, when suddently my car just sounded like a vw bettle, and sounded like it does when u take one of the ht leads off and rev it, then suddenly it just went back to normal again?? it sumtimes does this. When it does it always goes back to normall, but one day it mite just stay like tis. Could it b one off the of plugs just stop workin then suddenly work again? Thats wat it sounds like to me.The cars a 1.4sr wiv 40's cheers

dodgy plug or lead mate soon will go and be sounding like a beelte but wont go ne where then after a while will just break down and die. best to change it asap

Could be leads. What fuel delivery are u using? When I'm low on fuel and corner hard under power the fuel surges from the pickup and my carbs get starved giving this. Sometimes you can just flood the engine if u aint carefull with the throttle and this happens. Sometimes it just does it. Keep an eye on the small filter chambers on the carbs.

Not saying its any of these but they are possibilities.

**Why take 16V's onto the track when u can use 8?**
