I used to have MO's on my old GSi & they used to get all stained with brake dust / water marks, i used to T-Cut them, used to bring them up a treat, as a general alloy wheel cleaner i used to use G101 from AutoSmart, best i've used.

i dont have a compressor, though was thinking about buying one.

thanks for the offer but after the prep, time, petrol and paying you it wont be much off spray shop prices.

how much do compressors go for? just a simple one good enough for wheels bumpers etc. will it save me money in the long one buying one?

You can get a Ok compressor and spray gun for about ?50 from Netto.

Or a better one for about ?80 from machine mart.
Well worth having, can do a lot of things with them, spray waxoyl, part cleaning fluid etc etc.

got mine for ?50 for a 25ltr with gun/air blower/air line and more i think it does the job fine well worth doing BUT get your materials in bulk e.g activator thinners etc otherwise itll cost ya a fortune

If you can get the brake dust out it might be worth trying a proper wheel wax to stop the dust getting back in.
