for a start wot carb u running? and wot air filter? as u have been running some sort of piping from the exhaust manifold 2 carb u must have after market air filter.

running hot air 2 carb usually fixes frezzing probs ( blow stuff up??? sounds like sh*t ). wot most people use is 1 1/2 to 2" pipe, the silver type stuff that will bend where u want , from the exhaust manifold 2 the air filter.

if this does not fix and u are running a standard carb , it will be most likley a worn carb ( v common fault ) best 2 replace carb with a webber.

aluminium silver ducting pipe
put one end on manifold cowl
other end pointing at your filter
job done
