View Full Version : Nova 6speed spherical gear linkages.
I have just made one for my nova turbo, wondered if any one else would like one made? im pritty sure i have all gears, but if some one would like to test one for me on a running car id prefere that, as i dont want to sell goods which dont fit/work etc. would be done on supply basis ie you send me your linkage i modify it and you get yours back. would be around ?55

fu.ck me please dont tell me you have to do all this to make the no0va 6 speed linkage. if you do you have a sale lol
Excellent idea mate, looks identical (actually better) to the Harry Hockley one I used to have...
Be very interested in one of these but still don't have a working car to test it on lol
Where you have shortened the bit that connects to the gearbox, mine is even shorter than that but guess that won't make a difference and just means my engines mounted slightly different?
maybe Lee, i just remember some one told me how much to cut off and i done as they said lol! Will it feels nice and solid just going next week to try and get some bronze bushes made up for the main pivot, Chris and i are thinking of a way to mod the nylon knuckle as you can also get play from the tapered pin? maybe drill out nylon block, sleeve it and use an equal thickness interference fit pin which stays in via a c/e clip.
Would be interested in the bronze bushes as well if you can get more made up? Know Rick got some but the guy isn't making any more.

I managed to sort this on mine, i actually used 2 bolts from the SFi box, chopped the head off & drilled it all the way thru then cut the thread right thru it, cut it so it was slightly wider than the nylon knuckle, drilled / filed the knuckle out so it was a good 'tight' fit then just used some M5 bolts to nip it all up, works spot on - no play in the knuckle bit at all. Bit awkward fitting / removing it on the car but its worth it.

Lee waiting for parts at the moment! came a croper with the bronze bushes as i can only get a set made for me, but he is notong down all the dimensions!, though maybe no relevent as some are different sizes!
Simps is also about to test one in anger to see if it shows up any problems, once hes happy with it ill make a few up for people!
When can I send you mine Dan, see you've been knocking a couple of others out to people recently :D

i will have one will it work with 5 speed box??
im only realy doing them for 6spd at the mo mate, will try a 5spd on a mates nova turbo soon, having problems getting the rod ends at the moment, i hope it to be sorted though by the week end!
