door speakers

where should i fit speakers in my front doors? They are mk2 and have manual window winders, what size & make should i buy, or should i just replace the ones in the dash? thanks :thumb:

Is it 3 or 5 door? And audio have you already got in the car? I got good results from replacing my dash speakers with some 10cm Pioneer emotion series speakers (?65 a pair in Halfrauds, ?30 a pair new, posted from ebay!!)

Its a 3dr and everything in the car is standard apart from a new JVC headunit i have just fitted.

I got some pods of ebay, they are aprently from quad conversions and fit right where the original door pockets fitted. I puts some 5" pioneers in there and they sond mint, took me and a mate about 45 minutes to do it all. Hope this helps
