View Full Version : HELP, fitted xe but not running correctly

as above its a c20xe and it is running on std management but has accrilite forged pistons. its sounds like its misfiring pretty bad, i've tryed plugs, leads, dissy cap, rotor arm, dissy, coil and still no luck any help would be appreciated thanks mike

is that single point or multi because my redtop wont run properly either wont start and when it does sounds like it is missing and wont rev up only revs up some times

Have you changed any parts like cambelt etc? before it was fitted.

Have you heard it run before fitting it?

i bought the block and head off someone that was running tb's and cams and i wnet for a drive in it. now ive put my std loom and injection on it change belt, ive also check the timeing marks again

Got a engine management light wired up?
Any fault codes?

do you know what colour wire it is on the xe loom and what colour on an sri car loom by any chance

try cleaning the injectors as mine was the same and it turn out to be the problem

ive check the management light but nothing, ive cleaned the injectors, it ticks over tiny bit lumpy just under 1000 revs but when i rev to about 3500 and let off it back fires and gives a little bit of smoke, could it be because its got forged pistons that raise the comp to 12:5-1

have you cheaked the pipe for the idal speed control valve for splits
